CORE Community Services Youth Settlement Project supports newly arrived migrants, refugees and humanitarian entrants to Australia who are aged 15-24 years and reside in the Fairfield Local Government Area.
Our Youth Settlement Project will help young people within their first five years of arriving to Australia, integrate into their local communities and help open up opportunities which may otherwise be inaccessible to them.
A New Home
The cultural shock of a new country can be quite overwhelming for young people and the expectation to understand their new environment and succeed in schooling and obtaining work can be extremely testing.
Empowering Young Settlers
Our project empowers young settlers and puts them in contact with others from similar situations and backgrounds. Our youth workers link them with sporting and recreational opportunities, local services and provide them with education, employment and career pathway opportunities.
We have case workers that support young people in their settlement process.
If you are a young person who has migrated to Australia in the last 5 years and would like to access the above services, please contact us today.
