Thuy-Vi Le is CORE’s Youth Service Manager, she started her career in humanitarian work as an overseas volunteer in a Refugee Camp in South-East Asia for two years beginning 1993.
On her return to Australia she worked with street kids in Cabramatta before venturing into Youth Services, Community Development, Women’s Health, Counselling Refugee Survivors of Trauma and Torture, and then working in Jakarta, Indonesia in the prevention of Human Trafficking.
In 2012 Thuy-Vi returned to Australia to manage Humanitarian Settlement programs before taking up her current position at CORE Community Services in 2014. Thuy-Vi has qualifications in Anthropology, Education and post-graduate qualifications in Human Rights and International Work.
As the child of a refugee mother she has a strong focus on settlement, women and young people and is passionate about developing person centred practice standards in the delivery of services to vulnerable young people.
