The new Support at Home program will replace the Home Care Packages and Short-Term Restorative Care programs.

This new model is designed to help older Australians live independently at home for longer. It offers fair pricing, tailored care levels, early intervention, and stronger support for those with complex needs.

Assistance with daily activities including bathing, dressing, and personal hygiene.

Home Modifications & Maintenance

Safe, accessible home upgrades by our expert team — OT, builder, and handypersons —tailored to you.

Social Support

Companionship, community engagement, and assistance with social activities.

Benefits of Support at Home

The new Support at Home program will deliver more flexible, effective in-home aged care by:

Increasing annual care funding from $61,440 to $78,000

Offering a dedicated care partner through registered providers

Reducing wait times for service approvals (3-month target by July 2027)

Applying fair contributions only to non-clinical services

Providing upfront funding for assistive technology and home modifications

Expanding short-term restorative care (12 weeks support, more placements)

Introducing an End-of-Life Pathway with up to $25,000 in support over 3 months
