Recognition of Longstanding Community Leadership
CORE Community Services announces that its Chief Executive Officer, Juana Reinoso, has been inducted into the Zest Awards Hall of Fame. This recognition reflects her 27 years of dedicated service with CORE and her long-standing commitment to building capacity, connection, and resilience across diverse communities in South West Sydney.

CORE Community Services was recognised across multiple award categories at the Zest Awards held on 17 June 2022 at Stadium Australia, Sydney Olympic Park. In addition to individual recognition, CORE featured in several collaborative nominations alongside partner organisations across the Fairfield community.

CORE Community Services: A History of Community Impact
Established in 1979, CORE Community Services began by providing English classes for newly arrived migrants and refugees. Over the decades, the organisation has expanded its services across South West Sydney to include:

Strengthening Communities Through Collaboration
CORE Community Services has played a vital role in strengthening partnerships with local organisations, businesses, and state and local government departments. These collaborations were particularly critical during the COVID-19 pandemic, enabling coordinated responses to challenges such as food insecurity and access to essential services.
Leadership Focused on Collective Action
Juana Reinoso’s leadership has emphasised collaboration as a cornerstone of effective community service delivery. Through strong partnerships with health districts, community organisations, and government agencies, CORE has been able to enhance access, improve service coordination, and respond to emerging community needs.
