CORE Awarded SETS Contract by Federal Government

CORE Community Services has successfully secured the Federal Government’s Settlement Engagement and Transition Support (SETS) contract. This milestone highlights CORE’s expertise in supporting newly arrived refugee and migrant communities and ensuring comprehensive support across all aspects of community life.

Expanding Settlement Support in Fairfield LGA

The SETS contract will provide essential services to newly arrived refugees, migrants, and humanitarian entrants in the Fairfield Local Government Area (LGA), which receives the highest number of new arrivals in the country. CORE will increase its resources and staff to deliver tailored support for these communities, helping them transition successfully into Australian society.

Enhancing Capacity and Service Delivery

With over 40 years of experience, CORE is a leading settlement service provider in Fairfield LGA. Additional funding from the SETS program allows the organisation to recruit more trained staff, expanding its capacity to provide personalised case management and specialised services.

Comprehensive Services for New Arrivals

The SETS program enables CORE to offer a holistic approach to settlement, including:

  • Case work and personalised support

  • Employment and training assistance

  • Social support and community integration

  • Community development and capacity building

  • Youth programs and engagement

These services aim to strengthen social participation, community connectedness, and overall wellbeing for newly arrived individuals and families.

Commitment to Community and Inclusion

CORE’s long-standing dedication to culturally sensitive and person-centred services ensures new arrivals feel welcome and supported throughout their settlement journey. The organisation remains committed to creating a positive environment that empowers new Australians to thrive and integrate successfully into the community.
