CORE Community Services serves the communities of South West Sydney, through our 5 key service areas, Aged & Disability Care, Children Services, Community Engagement, Multicultural Communities and Youth Services. At every life stage, we are a place for all.
CORE Youth Service has expanded their programs, services and reach, with a new location in Fairfield among hubs of other organisations to closely work together with.
In celebration of our new location CORE Youth Service held an Open Day on the 3rd October, for the community to visit and enjoy a fun day of entertainment and food.
It was a great opportunity for us to showcase our programs, people and also our ‘safe place’ along with mindfulness activities, free cultural foods, live entertainment and jumping castle for the family groups.
The new location provides a safe space where young people can go to and not feel intimidated. We aim to progress our youth services. We continue to serve the community, with a fresh new outlook and plenty of opportunities ahead!
Key programs within our youth service includes:
- Child, youth and families
- Drug & alcohol counselling
- Youth settlement
- Newly arrived refugee youth
- Multicultural youth support
- Refugee Youth Peer Mentoring
- Upfront youth homelessness service
- Early intervention & prevention
- Crisis refuge
- Intensive support
We have also partnered with St Francis’ Greenlight Movement, this enables us to serve the young people of Fairfield and Liverpool, through opportunities accessed by attaining a driver’s licence.
We’re always on the lookout for new collaborations to fulfill young people’s needs and the communities’ needs, connect with our youth service team on (02) 9755 8000 or email youth@corecs.nbxstaging.com
